Summary

Join Sterlington, an international law firm, as a Senior Financial Modelling & Investment Analyst. You will play a key role in building financial frameworks, assessing deal value and risk, and supporting data-driven decisions for the firm and its clients. This position requires extensive financial modeling experience, sharp analytical skills, and the ability to assess company worth. You will develop and maintain financial models, conduct in-depth financial analysis, provide insights on equity returns and market conditions, analyze the impact of interest rate environments, and support the firm's executive compensation practice. You will also collaborate with senior leadership, monitor industry trends, and provide financial reporting to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in a financial or statistical modeling role within an Investment Banking, Private Equity or Corporate Finance environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, financial modelling software, and reporting tools
  • In-depth knowledge of equity returns, economics, and the factors affecting company performance
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Highly analytical with exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote, global environment

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive, in-depth financial models, including business valuations, discounted cash flow analysis and reverse interest rate calculations
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to assess performance, profitability, and strategic initiatives
  • Provide insights on equity returns, market conditions, and economic factors affecting financial standing and growth potential
  • Analyze the impact of interest rate environments, including reverse interest rate scenarios, on corporate financial structures and valuations
  • Support the firm's executive compensation practice with financial modeling of various compensation arrangements
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance and support key business decisions
  • Monitor and analyze industry trends, economic indicators, and competitor performance to inform strategic recommendations
  • Provide ongoing financial reporting to stakeholders, ensuring clarity and actionable insights
  • Work closely with global teams, particularly in the US time zone

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, CFA, CPA, FMVA accreditation desirable
  • Familiarity with executive compensation structures, including stock options, bonuses, and long-term incentives highly desirable
