Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of IT projects including infrastructure upgrades, application development, cloud migration, and system integrations
  • Able to engage in meaningful conversations with developers, engineers, architects, and technical leads. Understands common terminology and frameworks used in software development, system architecture, cloud infrastructure, and security—even without writing code yourself
  • Establish clear, actionable project goals that align with strategic priorities. Map out phases, tasks, milestones, and dependencies to create a realistic timeline, factoring in potential risks and delays. Experience with any PM tool should be considered  (e.g. MS Project, Asana, etc)
  • Log identified risks / Classify them by likelihood and potential impact. Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize them for monitoring or mitigation
  • Provide visibility of dependencies to stakeholders through regular status reports and meetings. Escalate critical blockers to leadership promptly when needed
  • Produce and distribute consistent, clear status reports, including key updates on progress, milestones, risks, blockers, budget, and next steps. Highlight any deviations from the plan with context and proposed resolutions
  • Lead regular stakeholder check-ins, or project health checks to maintain visibility and alignment. Clearly communicate key decisions, changes in direction, or scope adjustments
  • Ensure all project activities adhere to the organization’s project governance framework, including required approvals, checkpoints, and documentation at each stage of the project lifecycle (initiation, planning, execution, closure)
  • Support Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery methodologies where appropriate
