Italian Language Teacher

Summary

Join the Educational Equality Institute (TEEI) as a volunteer Language Teacher and contribute to our "Together for Ukraine" project, providing free educational programs to Ukrainians. You will develop and deliver language lessons, evaluate student progress, and collaborate with a multinational team. This volunteer role offers valuable experience, resume-building opportunities, and references. While unpaid, it provides flexible remote scheduling with a minimum 6-hour weekly commitment. You'll gain experience, network with professionals, and make a tangible impact on the lives of Ukrainians.

Requirements

• Experience in teaching or tutoring language learners
• Ability to develop and implement effective lesson plans
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others in a multicultural team
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
• Passion for helping underprivileged communities through education
• Fluent in Italian
• Good level of spoken/written English

Responsibilities

• Develop lesson plans and materials to teach basic language skills to students
• Conduct online or in-person language classes for students
• Evaluate students' progress and provide feedback to help them improve
• Collaborate with other volunteers and staff members to develop effective teaching strategies
• Provide support and guidance to students to help them achieve their language learning goals
• Participate in training sessions and workshops provided by TEEI to enhance your teaching skills
