Java Backend Developer

Summary

Join ViaBill, a rapidly growing company in the BNPL industry, as a back-end developer. You will be part of a highly skilled, fully remote engineering team building quality products and impacting ViaBill customers. Your work will involve close collaboration with the business, influencing product direction, and working both independently and as part of a team. This role requires experience in Java 11+, Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, Camel, MariaDB, and AWS, as well as experience with 3rd party service providers and highly automated, event-driven systems. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in English, motivated in a fast-paced environment, and located within +/- 2-3 hours of the CET time zone.

Requirements

• Interested in how the use of emergent AI tools can help you and your team produce better code faster
• Experience developing in Java 11+; Kotlin (nice to have)
• Experience in Spring Boot , JPA/Hibernate, Camel, MariaDB and AWS
• Experience in integration with 3rd party service providers
• Experience with highly automated, event-driven systems
• Contributing beautiful, testable, clean code
• Primarily interested in backend development, as this is where the majority of your work will be focused
• Highly proficient in English, as this is the primary language of communication in the company
• Ultra-focused on the end user - even when working on the opposite end, you keep the perspective of the end user in mind and build solutions that enable the best experience possible
• Motivated in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Able to keep calm, focused, and prioritize under pressure
• Independent and take initiative
• Located within +/- 2-3 hours of CET time zone
