Java Developer

Summary

Join our team as a senior Java Developer to build a new microservice layer connecting company data with AI agents (chatbots, voicebots, and other LLM-based interfaces). This layer will provide secure, robust, and auditable access to data from databases and data warehouses (PostgreSQL). Work in a small agile team (approx. 3 FTE) collaborating closely with the AI agents development and operations team. You will develop scalable, cloud-native microservices using the Agile Portal Framework (APF). This is a long-term, full-time, hybrid or fully remote position located in Prague.

Requirements

• Excellent knowledge of microservice development in Java / Spring Boot
• Practical experience with CI/CD pipeline development and deployment to Kubernetes (ideally AKS)
• Ability to read and follow technical documentation (including architectural cookbooks)
• Knowledge of code versioning, GIT workflow, artifact versioning
• Fundamentals of networking and security (JWT, TLS, OAuth are an advantage)
• Experience with observability (tracing, liveness probes, monitoring)
• English at a level sufficient for reading and understanding technical documentation

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend components in Java (Spring Boot microservices)
• Design and implement API interfaces for the needs of AI teams
• Actively participate in technical design, planning, and code reviews within the agile team
• Create tests (unit, integration) and contribute to the CI/CD pipeline
• Collaborate with architects, DevOps specialists, and other vendors

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with API design for AI agents or LLM integration
