Requirements

  • US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust with full BI clearance or above
  • Active or prior DHS Public Trust with full BI or higher clearance is preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or IT-related field
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible software engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in the Information Technology field
  • 5+ years of specific software engineering related to Java Spring Boot microservice applications
  • Strong understanding of deploying microservices as a containerized service to EKS preferably (or ECS)
  • Strong understanding of maintaining CICD deployments of containerized services involving Jenkins and/or Harness.io
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery techniques
  • Experience with test-driven development and automated testing practices
  • Experience in large scale, high performance enterprise big data application deployment and solution architecture on complex heterogeneous environments in AWS
  • Demonstrated growth mindset, enthusiastic about learning new technologies quickly and applying gained knowledge to address business problems
  • Ability to communicate with clients on a business level and translate their needs into a technical solution

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop enterprise-level microservices using Java Spring Boot framework
  • Write and execute software tests to ensure quality and functionality
  • Analyze user requirements to guide application design and development
  • Establish clear application goals and define core functionalities
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges efficiently
  • Create comprehensive design documentation for use by engineering teams
  • Provide a detailed roadmap for enhancing the current Java Spring Boot microservice architecture
  • Develop user-friendly documentation to support end users
  • Collaborate in a cross-functional Agile team, with a focus on automation, continuous integration (CI), and continuous delivery (CD) practices
