Summary

Join our team as a Senior SDET and lead testing efforts for a fast-growing fintech company revolutionizing payments, card issuing, and revolving credit solutions. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automation code, creating test plans, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. This role requires proficiency in Java and JUnit, strong domain knowledge in payments and card industry testing, and experience with backend Java enterprise software system testing. The position offers long-term projects, 100% remote work, payment in USD, PTO, English lessons, technical training, and career coaching. This opportunity is available for LATAM residents only.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Java and JUnit test framework
  • Strong domain knowledge and experience in testing within the payments and card industry
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and industry-specific protocols
  • Ability to quickly adapt and learn new domains as needed
  • Experience in backend Java enterprise software system testing
  • Hands-on experience in automating API (REST) testing
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar platforms
  • Strong track record of working on large, complex projects and SDLC processes
  • Experience with RDBMS and NoSQL databases such as MySQL and Cassandra
  • Ability to write, execute, and debug SQL queries for database validation
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Lead testing efforts in the payments, card issuing, and revolving credit domain
  • Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases in JUnit 5
  • Prepare and maintain quality assurance policies and procedures
  • Design, develop, and execute automation code
  • Identify, record, document, and track bugs
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
  • Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products
  • Track quality assurance metrics and statistics
  • Stay up to date with new testing tools and industry regulatory requirements
  • Communicate technical information effectively to team members and customers of varying technical experience
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers on projects
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the team’s success
