Java Software Engineer

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with Java
• Good knowledge of Java 17, Java ecosystem frameworks like Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Data, associated patterns (e.g. SOLID principles, Design Patterns), API driven development
• Extensive experience with relational databases (DB2) and cache storages in a cloud/hybrid-cloud setup
• Experience in developing apps using cloud/hybrid-cloud technology (OpenShift container platform)
• Proficiency with source control (GIT), build automation tools (Maven) and modern IDE’s (Eclipse/IntelliJ)
• Familiarity with log and metric collection and analysis tools (e.g., Prometheus, Graylog, Grafana, Dynatrace)
• Effective communication skills with a good command of English and German

Responsibilities

• Drive Innovation in Banking Technology: Manage IT services for mass data processing, ensuring system reliability, scalability, and seamless integration to support evolving business requirements and user demands
• Deliver high-quality code: Ensure the fulfilment of the requirements, taking into consideration also its performance within the agreed time estimate
• Tailor client solutions: Develop new or modified software products or ongoing business projects, while recommending efficient and robust software solutions tailored to client needs
• Nurture Knowledge: Continue to learn and improve your skills as Software Engineer, with the support of your senior colleagues
• Leverage your expertise in German: Engage in direct communication with German-speaking clients and teams and offer support for your colleagues/stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Service Mesh management in Kubernetes deployments (e.g., Istio or similar)
• Knowledge of tools such as Vault, Harbor, Helm, and SonarQube is a plus
