Requirements

  • At least two years of post-secondary education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Less than three years of professional experience in software development, ideally with exposure to cloud platforms and backend development
  • Proficiency in at least one high-level language. Experience in C# and JavaScript desirable
  • Familiarity with Agile practices and methodologies
  • Some exposure to writing unit tests
  • Have some knowledge of cloud development (AWS, Azure of Google Cloud) desirable
  • Some experience with datastore structure and querying
  • Experience with macOS development is a plus
  • Ensure adherence to quality and technical standards in all aspects of development

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing new features with guidance and mentorship from Senior Developers
  • Collaborate with the team to design and implement technical solutions that meet business requirements
  • Write and maintain comprehensive automated tests, including unit and integration tests, to ensure robust functionality and prevent regressions
  • Participate actively in code reviews, both as a contributor and reviewer
  • Provide regular updates on progress and collaborate effectively with team members to meet project deadlines and sprint goals
  • Support existing features by identifying, debugging, and resolving issues as they arise
  • Develop and propose well-defined technical solutions in alignment with business goals and technical standards
  • Prepare clear and comprehensive product documentation and support materials to aid in the efficient usage and maintenance of the product

Benefits

Salary: NZ$65,000 - NZ$70,000 annually, plus up to 5% annual bonus
