Jr DevOps Engineer

Summary

The Jr DevOps Engineer is responsible for ensuring the availability and scalability of Sprout's cloud infrastructure, assisting in software releases, and developing tools for automation. The position requires 1-2 years of experience with Azure services, CI/CD project experience, scripting skills, excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude.

Requirements

• At least 1-2 years of strong experience in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Microsoft based production systems
• Azure services experiences is required (Azure App Service, Azure SQL, Azure Service Fabric, Azure Storage Account)
• Understanding of load balancers, DNS, virtual networks and firewalls in cloud environment
• Setup monitoring (performance metrics, OMS)
• CI/CD project experience. Manage, develop, build CI/CD pipeline, including: Checking code quality
• Unit, integration and functional tests implementation
• PowerShell scripting for custom tasks automation
• Environments strategy understanding

Responsibilities

• The Jr DevOps Engineer is responsible for the overall availability and scalability of Sprout’s cloud infrastructure
• Assist in planning and coordination of software releases into production and pre-production environments
• Develop tools on the way to help automate deployment and provide continuous integration/deployment support

Preferred Qualifications

• Able to work successfully both individually and as a team member
• Easy-going, friendly, communicative, positive in relations with colleagues, in every situation strives to see opportunities rather than problems
• Solid knowledge of at least one scripting language PowerShell, BASH, Python, JS, etc
• Demonstrable knowledge of scaling and managing web service and database infrastructure
