This position requires a bachelor's degree in a related field, at least one year of tax preparation experience or two years of bookkeeping experience, proficiency in accounting software, and excellent communication skills. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in accounting, finance, or related field
- At least a year of experience in tax preparation (PH, US, AU) or 2+ years experience in end-to-end bookkeeping using an online accounting software
- Experience in tracking and analyzing data using accounting software such as Microsoft Excel or Intuit QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Hurdlr cloud accounting software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to details
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage time effectively
- Exemplary finance-related skills and experience
- Ability to work within a team to assist in preparation of accurate tax returns in a timely manner
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Extremely detail oriented, able to work under pressure and to meet strict deadlines
Responsibilities
- Organize and analyze clients’ financial information
- Take advantage of opportunities to minimize tax liability through deductions
- Prepare necessary forms for filing taxes - 1040 and 1120S
- Keep abreast of current IRS and state and local tax rules and regulations and ensure full compliance
- Create additional documentation when necessary, including tax forecasting reports for internal review
- Collaborate with team members in communicating tax strategies to co-workers in other departments
- Maintain accurate database of tax records
- Remain up to date on industry developments
- Provide tax preparation, tax audit support and tax planning year round
- Build year-round client relationships
