You will focus on implementing new functionality and algorithms, supporting the AI architecture design process, and continuously improving the technology stack of the ONDEWO Call Center AI platform. This platform aims to enable machines to engage in natural conversations with humans. You will be part of a team shaping the future of machine-human communication and interaction.

Responsibilities

• Learn to write reusable, testable, and efficient code – we love to “type” everything
• Understand the core business of the company
• Optimize existing processes by proposing strategic & practical solutions
• Define & implement object-oriented modeling, design patterns, standards and best practices
• Stabilize, speed up and extend our advanced Python-based technology stack
• Design and implementation of low-latency and performant object-oriented Python code
• Development and maintenance of data structure and formats for scale
• Design and develop core features in back-end processing systems
• Participate in design and code reviews and get/give feedback
• Keep up to date with the latest technologies, evaluate new tools, and learn new techniques

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-2 years object-oriented Python experience
• Knowledge of object-oriented design and programming
• University degree (BS/MS) in computer science, physics, mathematics, electrical engineering, data science, or equivalent industry experience
• Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a Python application
• Understanding of the threading and multiprocessing in Python
• Interested in automated testing and code quality improvement practices
• Understanding of tools for software development and testing e.g. PyCharm, Git, pytest, mypy, flake, and docker
• Loves learning and working with cutting-edge technologies
• Strong team player mindset and great to work with
• Fast learner, high capacity for abstract thinking & structured approach to work plus a hands-on mentality & international mindset
• English fluency, both written and verbally (fluency in German or another language is a plus)
