Summary
Join Experian as a Junior Analyst of Competitive Intelligence and contribute to the company's growth by developing competitive market intelligence and strategy materials for senior leadership. You will proactively review emerging trends, perform in-depth analyses using quantitative and qualitative methods, and identify key internal and external data to drive those analyses. Collaborate with global and regional stakeholders across various departments while independently producing high-quality work. Publish a weekly newsletter covering global markets and develop recommendations to support growth and business improvement. This remote position reports to the SVP of Strategy and requires a Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- 2+ years' experience in Financial Research, Financial Advisory, or Corporate Financial Planning, or other related field
- Comparable experience in strategy consulting is also acceptable
- Proficient in analyzing and modeling financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow) and interpreting earnings releases for public companies
- Experience explaining complex concepts and explaining their validity to senior leadership
- Experience working with senior leadership teams and across multiple concurrent projects
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (macros, pivot tables, look-ups, filtering), PowerPoint, and Word
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (estimated at 10% or less)
Responsibilities
- Develop competitive market intelligence and strategy materials for senior executive leadership
- Proactively review emerging trends in markets, case studies and relevant topics
- Perform in-depth analyses using quantitative and qualitative methods to generate business insights
- Identify, gather, and assess key internal and external data to drive those analyses β leveraging and accessing research sources (internal and external to the firm)
- Collaborate closely with global and regional stakeholders across Experian β business, product, sales, technology, finance, etc. β to get work done. Yet also produce high quality work independently
- Publish weekly competitive and market event update newsletter (circulation c. 2,000 mid-level managers to senior executives) covering global markets for the Group
- Develop recommendations to support growth and business improvement that will have a significant impact on Experian's top and bottom lines, long-term
- Contribute to annual strategic planning process and execution/implementation plans
