Junior Backend Developer

Requirements

• Have at least 6 months of commercial experience with Node.js
• Be knowledge hungry
• Understand basic JS concepts (ES 2018+)
• Have basic experience with at least one Node.js backend framework (e.g. Express.js, NestJS)
• Understand what SOLID & DRY stand for
• Have 6-12 months of commercial experience with Node.js
• Understand basic JS concepts (ES 2018+), use Classes, and follow recent additions/functionalities
• Have basic experience with at least one Node.js backend framework (e.g. Express.js, NestJS, Fastify, etc) - know basic APIs/features, worked on at least 1 project involving such technologies
• Know what OOP is, understand basic good practices and data structures, want to have a SOLID and DRY code with the use of design patterns
• Have worked with SQL database (integration wise) with ORM or query builder tool (ie. Prisma, Knex)
• Have English level B2 to cooperate with American clients
• Have Polish level C1 to communicate easily within the team
• Be knowledge-hungry and have a positive attitude
• Have effective communication skills - crucial for seeking feedback and understanding others' perspectives
• Be open-minded to new ideas, perspectives, and feedback from experienced colleagues
• Be open to change and adapting to different situations
• Be aware of your strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvements
• Be enthusiastic for learning and taking on challenges
• Actively seek solutions and try to figure things out on your own, but not be afraid to ask for help when needed

Responsibilities

• Write personal-best possible JS/TS code with OOP flavour
• Be technically involved in the product - find ways to improve it
• Write documentation for delivered code
• Perform peer code review
• Reuse and improve the company knowledge base
• Communicate with the team to efficiently translate business complexity (user stories/tasks) into solutions (end results/estimations)
• Learn continuously

Preferred Qualifications

• Have open-source contributions
• Have experience in various BE frameworks
• Understand what Agile/Scrum is and want to work as a team towards one goal
• Understand the significance of MVP and aim to deliver top-notch results, even amid tight project timelines
• Know what AWS is and get why it is used
• Have serverless experience
• Know how to run Docker images and how to use them
