Junior Cloud Platform Engineer

Summary

Join Encora as a Junior Cloud Platform Engineer and contribute to the migration of existing pipelines to new standards using Harness. This initial 2-4 month project will transition into various cloud-related projects involving Machine Learning (ML) capabilities, platform stabilization, and infrastructure optimization. You will gain hands-on experience in cloud technologies, ML integrations, and system reliability improvements. This is a remote, full-time position requiring a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and AWS experience. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential. Experience with Harness is a plus.

Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Possess AWS experience
• Demonstrate strong analytical skills to assess infrastructure issues and provide solutions efficiently
• Exhibit effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
• Maintain a proactive approach to learning and applying new cloud technologies
• Understand CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
• Have experience with logging and monitoring tools like OpenSearch, Prometheus, and Grafana
• Show interest or experience in ML integrations within cloud environments

Responsibilities

• Assist in migrating existing pipelines to Harness to align with new standards
• Implement Machine Learning (ML) capabilities in OpenSearch and Prometheus/Grafana
• Contribute to the stabilization of the OpenSearch platform to improve performance and reliability
• Expand support for additional programming languages, such as Node.js
• Enhance log storage resilience by segregating logs into multiple clusters
• Troubleshoot and optimize cloud infrastructure components to improve efficiency and scalability
• Collaborate with onsite and remote teams to drive project success

Preferred Qualifications

• Have experience with Harness
• Be proficient in Node.js
• Have experience with Machine Learning integration
