Summary
Join MCG, a leading healthcare organization, as a Staff Platform Engineer and contribute to our mission of delivering patient-focused care. This individual contributor role involves designing and building cloud solutions to support MCG’s services, primarily for our data science team. You will collaborate with leadership to establish technical standards and ensure high-quality solution development and operation. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in managing complex infrastructure with code, operating services in Kubernetes, and securing cloud environments. Requirements
- You’ve got hands-on experience managing complex infrastructure with code
- You have a long history of successfully operating services in Kubernetes
- You’re familiar with the ins & outs of securing cloud environments
- You’ve operated a service with strict compliance requirements (PCI-DSS, HIPAA, ISO-27001, etc)
- You know how to setup new projects and handle the tricky parts of the SDLC
- You like helping junior team members and collaborating with peers
Responsibilities
- Establishing careful and high-quality practices and processes
- Building out a suite of cloud infrastructure to support new AI, ML, NLP, and other data science services and applications
- Supporting ad-hoc cloud infrastructure projects
- Coordinating with MCG’s team of architects to ensure solutions are aligned with MCG’s architectural best practices and security requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with de-identification services for healthcare data
- Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards (eg HL7)
- Experience with Databricks, Flyte, and/or FastAPI
