Summary

Coolgradient is seeking a Junior Data / Analytics Engineer to help onboard new data centers and scale their modern data warehouse. The role involves developing the AI-based analytics platform, ensuring data availability, processing and modeling data, and improving existing data models. A degree in Computer Science or related field, basic SQL expertise, and experience with Snowflake or dbt are required. Additional skills like Azure familiarity, Git, Visual Studio Code, Jira, and Python are optional. Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
  • Basic expertise in using SQL for analytical data transformations
  • At least one of the following: Basic experience with Snowflake or Bigquery / Redshift / Synapse, Experience with dbt (data build tools)

Responsibilities

  • Onboard customers: Help onboard new data centers and map their data according to our platform's standards, ensuring seamless integration into our analytics system
  • Data Availability: Take responsibility for maintaining the data warehouse to ensure continuous data availability for data product consumers
  • Process and model new Data: Utilize tools like Snowflake and dbt to process and model data effectively, turning raw data into insights that drive decisions
  • Improve existing Data Models: Work on improving and extending our current dimensional data models to enhance data analysis and utility

Preferred Qualifications

  • A proactive attitude toward continuous improvement
  • Familiarity with the (Azure) cloud
  • Optional : experience with dimensional (kimball) data modelling
  • Optional : ability to utilize Git, Visual Studio Code and Jira for version control development workflows and task management
  • Optional : familiarity with Python
