Junior Data Engineer

Summary

Join our team as a Junior Data Engineer to support business requirements, develop reporting data landscape, and ensure data integrity and quality.

Requirements

• At least 2 - 3 years of Data Engineering experience
• Good understanding of data management concepts, such as data dictionaries, glossaries
• Experience with Python scripting for data transformation using Pandas
• Experience with public cloud environments (preferably AWS)
• Competent with SQL
• Experience building lineage visualisations and/or implementing data quality rules
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• High level of verbal, written and presentation skills

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with Spectrum.Life colleagues to gather requirements to support and develop the reporting data landscape to deliver high-quality data, including automation, for onward processing and consumption
• Evaluate, develop, and support initiatives for handling, processing, and cleansing data to ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and quality of data & information standards are adhered to
• Ensure all regular tasks, including scheduled extracts are processed on a timely basis with accurate data
• Support managing requests, including handling data validation and ad-hoc queries
• Produce and maintain documentation of data processes, workflows, and systems, and generating reports to provide insights into data operations and performance
