Junior Data Scientist

Summary

Join AUTO1 Group's Data Science department as a Junior Data Scientist and contribute to developing innovative machine learning models for their Auto1.com platform. You will assist in translating business needs into data science questions, collaborate with engineering and product teams on deployment, and monitor model performance. Responsibilities include developing dynamic pricing models, creating personalized recommendations, optimizing sales calls, and forecasting demands. The role requires a STEM degree or relevant experience, proficiency in machine learning algorithms, SQL and Python, and strong communication skills. Requirements

• A university degree in STEM fields or a prior work experience in data analytics and data science
• Knowledge in machine learning algorithms on supervised and unsupervised learning
• Demonstration of hands-on experience with SQL and Python for data manipulation, analysis, and modeling
• Ability to draw conclusions from data and recommend actions
• Strong communication and visualisation skills to effectively present findings in a clear and concise manner

Responsibilities

• Assist in translating business needs into data science questions and contribute to the research and development of Machine Learning solutions that bring positive business impact
• Work collaboratively with engineering and product teams to support the deployment of data science solutions and their integration into the Auto1 technology infrastructure
• Monitor the performance of models in production, prepare reports for stakeholders and assist in developing actionable next steps under guidance
• Learn from senior team members, follow best practices and actively contribute to achieving project goals as part of a collaborative team

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and experience in Github or Git is a plus
