Junior IT Engineer in Singapore

Summary

Horangi is seeking a Junior IT Engineer to provide technical support and assistance to end-users within the organization. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, a strong technical background, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. They will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, resolve technical problems, and ensure the smooth operations of IT systems.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree or polytechnic diploma in information technology, computer science, or a related field is preferred
• Good to have experience in technical support roles, preferably in a corporate environment
• Knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, as well as Microsoft Office Suite, Azure AD, on-prem AD, Microsoft Intune, and other productivity applications
• Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
• Knowledge of management and troubleshooting of Open VPN and Cisco AnyConnect
• Familiarity with IT ticketing systems: Jira, Monday.com, or any other industry standard ticketing tool

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and assistance to end-users via phone, email, chat, ticketing, or in-person
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues promptly
• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and software applications
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to operating systems, applications, and hardware components
• Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate IT teams or vendors for further investigation and resolution
• Document support activities, solutions, and resolutions in the IT ticketing system
• Provide training and guidance to end-users on IT systems, applications, and best practices
• Assist in implementing IT projects and initiatives, including software upgrades and system migrations
• Maintain inventory of IT assets, including computers, peripherals, and software licenses
• Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and security protocols

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks: daily IT operations, IT projects, and ad-hoc
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
