Junior PHP Developer

Summary

The company is hiring a PHP developer to work on a rapidly growing digital parking platform that connects drivers with parking providers. The developer will be responsible for coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and maintaining software using PHP, Slim framework, MySQL, AWS, RabbitMQ, Microservices, JavaScript, Vue.js, Kotlin, and Swift. They must have at least 2 years of experience in PHP development, expertise in one of the PHP frameworks, deep OOP and design patterns knowledge, broad experience with MySQL, proficiency in Git, and at least an Upper-Intermediate level of English. Front-end development skills, experience with Slim Framework, and familiarity with AWS are preferred.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in PHP development
• Expertise in one of the PHP frameworks
• Deep OOP and design patterns knowledge
• Broad experience with MySQL
• Proficiency in Git
• At least an Upper-Intermediate level of English

Responsibilities

• Code, develop unit and integration tests, debug, document, implement, and maintain portions of software
• Follow good design principles, such as code reuse, modularity, and extensibility
• Perform code review for compliance with the best engineering practices, coding standards, and quality criteria set forth on the project
• Assist test engineers and support personnel in solving technical issues of software installation and its operation
• Continuously participate in technical risk identification and analysis, immediately notify the Project Manager of new risks identified, and suggest a mitigation strategy
• Report status and progress according to the project and company demands
• Contribute to the creation of technical specifications
• Participate in estimation and planning sessions
• Work and professionally communicate with the customer’s team

Preferred Qualifications

• Front-end development skills (HTML5/CSS3, JavaScript, Vue.js)
• Work experience with Slim Framework
• Experience with AWS
