Junior Platform Compute and Storage Specialist

Summary

Join Squarepoint's team as a Systems Specialist to design, build, and maintain compute and storage services that support the company's growth. This role involves managing distributed compute environments, installing and monitoring Linux operating systems, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, scripting for automation, and collaborating with other teams and vendors.

Requirements

• Up to 4 years of experience in a technology infrastructure role including Linux administration
• Proficient in Python, Ruby, or Bash scripting
• Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline or related area

Responsibilities

• Manage a distributed compute environment and several petabyte-scale storage systems
• Install, manage, and monitor the Linux operating system (RHEL based)
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues throughout the stack
• Script to automate repetitive tasks
• Work with other teams and vendors to resolve issues
