Summary

The job is a 12-month training program in energy trading at CWP Energy, a Montreal-based company specializing in renewable energies and physical trading. The program aims to train young professionals and students in finance, actuarial science, or engineering for a career in electricity trading.

Requirements

• You want to develop a niche expertise in Power Trading
• You have a master's degree and/or previous experience in finance, actuarial science or engineering
• You stand out from your colleagues by your achievements as well as your professional and academic experience
• You have an entrepreneurial mindset and a strong ability to connect the dots
• You have an interest in participating in a competitive program with high performance expectations
• You have experience with SQL, VBA and Python
• You are interested and willing to work full-time from our Montreal office to maximize your learning

Responsibilities

• Analyze real-time data to find efficient trading strategies
• Apply trading strategies in the deregulated US electricity markets
• Participate in generating P&L with experienced traders
• Develop quantitative analysis tools to make better trading decisions
• Apply risk and compliance structure
• Analyze capital allocations and portfolio risk
