Summary

Join Experian as a Site Reliability Engineer and contribute to the availability, efficiency, and performance of our software systems. Collaborate with software engineering teams on design, deployment, and operations of software deliverables. Focus on system operations and software engineer support to enhance system reliability and developer productivity. This remote position reports to the Manager of Site Reliability Engineering. You will work on projects, support engineers with infrastructure, perform operational tasks, apply software engineering best practices, automate tasks, and continuously learn and expand your skills. Requirements

  • 3+ years experience of Systems Administration Experience
  • 1+ years experience in a cloud-based infrastructure role with development and automation experience
  • 1+ years experience in a DevOps role with scripting/automation experience
  • Experience with IaC tools like Terraform
  • Experience with CI/CD workflows and SDLC tools (ex. Github actions, Jenkins, Harness)
  • Passionate about best practices and reliable, sustainable, scalable environments

Responsibilities

  • Work with Site Reliability Engineers on projects and contribute to project planning
  • Support the efforts of engineers in other domains with infrastructural provisioning, access control, and configuration changes
  • Perform operational work and small changes with assistance and direction from others on the infrastructure team
  • Apply the principles of software engineering and engineering best practices to system operations and administration tasks
  • Automate tasks to improve reliability, repeatability, and scalability
  • Continue to learn and expand your skills, and seek knowledge and feedback from others in the domain on our practices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to AWS and/or GCP ecosystem
  • Knowledge of JVM languages such as Java/Scala/JVM0535
  • Experience with IaC tools (ex. Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Ansible or Chef )
  • Kubernetes
  • Go/Python
