Requirements

  • A solid understanding of basic SRE concepts and a desire to learn and expand your knowledge
  • Strong problem-solving aptitude and a knack for troubleshooting technical issues, along with eagerness to learn
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit
  • Ability to understand and communicate the "why" behind the work
  • Proactive learning and feedback-seeking mindset
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts and technologies
  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems and command-line tools
  • Experience with scripting languages (Bash, Python)
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and contribute to a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Dive headfirst into our cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and related services, learn to build highly available systems, and contribute to its overall availability and performance
  • Get your hands dirty with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and help us automate everything, ensuring our infrastructure is robust and scalable
  • Develop expertise in observability, ensuring our systems are always running smoothly, by providing product and software development teams with crucial components to proactively identify and address issues
  • Collaborate closely with our highly skilled team to tackle exciting challenges, troubleshoot issues, and make a real impact on Pactum's success, gaining experience in database administration, security best practices, and application deployment
  • Contribute to the documentation of our infrastructure and processes, promoting knowledge sharing and transparency within the team
  • Learn and apply new technologies and tools related to SRE and DevOps practices
  • Actively seek feedback on your work and be proactive in using it to improve your skills and performance
  • Keep the team informed on your progress, any roadblocks, or issues you encounter
  • Participate in team knowledge sharing sessions
  • Understand how your work impacts the product and ultimately the customer, and make sure you prioritize the right tasks

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with GCP services
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker)
  • Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and tools
  • Basic understanding of databases (PostgreSQL)
