Summary

Join House Rx's 25+ person product, design, and engineering team as a Junior Software Engineer in Support and help make specialty medications more accessible and affordable. You will prioritize and resolve software bugs impacting end-users, execute database changes, partner with the foundation software team to reduce support volume, and document troubleshooting steps. Requirements

  • Possess a strong growth mindset, receptive to feedback, and keen to take initiative in your learning and contributions. You view software development as a craft
  • Proactive and clear communicator, verbally and through writing where you’re comfortable asking thoughtful questions and seeking guidance
  • Able to anticipate problems, dig into issues, and produce well vetted solutions
  • Have attended a software bootcamp, have a degree in computer science or a related field, or have at least one year of on the job training
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving development environment
  • An awareness that we fail and succeed together

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize and resolve software bugs that are directly impacting our end-users
  • Execute production database changes (Postgres) to help unblock clinical workflows
  • Partner with our foundation software team to resolve larger product gaps that will reduce overall support volume (TypeScript, Node, React)
  • Document troubleshooting steps and solutions for future reference and to build a knowledge base for the support team
  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues before they impact end-users (Grafana, Sentry)
