Summary
Join National Retail Solutions (NRS) as a Junior Designer and contribute to the design and development of our customer-facing POS system. You will assist in shaping the design language, collaborate with cross-functional teams, gather stakeholder feedback, and iterate on designs. This role requires experience in product design, proficiency in Figma, and a strong understanding of user-centered design principles. You will participate in workshops, create prototypes, and develop high-fidelity specifications. Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience within Product Design or related field
- Decent competency in Figma for designing and prototyping
- Proven experience as a Junior Designer or similar with a portfolio of your design work
- Basic proficiency in design tools such as Figma, LottieFiles, or similar
- Knowledge of user-centered design principles and methodologies
- Good English, presentation, communication, and collaboration skills as the team is all over the world
- Ability to think strategically and translate business goals into design solutions
Responsibilities
- Assist in shaping the direction and design language of our customer-facing POS system
- Support the design team in understanding POS systems and collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Gather feedback from stakeholders and iterate quickly
- Help think holistically across all touchpoints of NRSplus.com and help craft a cohesive customer journey rooted in user research
- Contribute to the growth and maintenance of our cross-platform, cross-functional design system
- Participate in workshops with key stakeholders, creating prototypes and developing high-fidelity specifications for collaboration with tech teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong interest in visual, UI, and mobile interaction design
- Interest and willingness to learn and grow in a service design mindset, framing problems in context to our UX strategy
- Passion in doing clickable prototypes while doing the discussion for UX solutions
- Prototyping at the right abstractions and levels of high and low fidelity for efficiency
- Interest in systems thinking and how changes in design have effects ripples
- Comfortable in an open collaborative design environment; feedback is sought early and often
- Good English communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Interest in creating micro animations, UX gamification, and understanding of business needs at past worked projects
- Experience with the Agile development environment will be considered a plus
