Kotlin Multiplatform & IOS Engineer

Summary

Join our NRS Team as a highly skilled Team Lead Kotlin Multiplatform & iOS Engineer to lead the technical effort to convert an existing Kotlin project to run on iPads, utilizing Kotlin Multiplatform technology.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience in software development, with at least 3+ years of team leadership experience
• Hands-on expertise in iOS development, with a focus on UI components and native iOS frameworks (Swift/Objective-C) including a deep understanding of Apple’s design principles
• At least 1+ year of experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP)
• Android hands on, at least 2 years
• Proven experience building and managing development teams
• Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
• Understanding of cross-platform development challenges and solutions
• English - B2+

Responsibilities

• Lead the effort to convert an existing Kotlin project to run on iPads using Kotlin Multiplatform technology
• Conduct a comprehensive technical assessment to evaluate what is required to transition the current Kotlin project to support Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP)
• Build, manage, and mentor a team of developers to execute the conversion and ensure high-quality code and performance
• Architect, design, and develop key features and ensure cross-platform compatibility for both Android and iOS
• Collaborate with other technical leads, designers, and stakeholders to ensure project alignment with business goals and technical requirements
• Ensure compliance with Apple’s design and development guidelines for iOS, while maintaining the codebase for Android
• Perform code reviews, provide technical leadership, and ensure that team members follow best practices
• Solve complex technical challenges and optimize performance across multiple platforms
