Summary
Join Game Plan Tech as a Kubernetes Administrator with a security clearance to manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters, ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of containerized applications. You will collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline deployment processes and enhance the cloud infrastructure. This role requires experience in a disconnected environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience managing Kubernetes clusters in a production environment
- Top Secret clearance is required
Responsibilities
- Deploy, manage, and maintain Kubernetes clusters across various environments, including classified environments
- Monitor cluster health, performance, and resource utilization; implement performance tuning and optimization strategies
- Implement and manage security best practices for Kubernetes clusters, including RBAC, network policies, and secrets management
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and scaling of applications
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for cluster configurations, processes, and procedures
- Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless application integration and deployment
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or equivalent certification is preferred
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes architecture, components, and operations
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Proficiency in containerization technologies like Docker
- Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Go
- Knowledge of networking concepts and tools related to Kubernetes, such as CNI plugins
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
