Join our team as a Lab Chemist Intern at Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions in Tomball, TX. This full-time, 12-week internship will involve developing high-throughput antifoulant testing methods, validating methods using control samples, and screening antifoulant chemicals and catalysts.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program with a focus in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry or equivalent
• 2-3 years of college chemistry lab experience
• Familiarity with basic wet chemistry and analytical techniques
• Ability to work independently in a lab environment with other team members
• Self-motivated and a team player
• Demonstrated dedication to lab safety
• Effective problem-solving skills
• An accomplished communicator, able to produce quality technical reports and documents

Responsibilities

• Contribute to developing / improving high-throughput antifoulant testing methods
• Validate methods using control samples
• Screen a variety of antifoulant chemicals and catalysts by using a variety of batch and continuous lab simulation test methods under different test conditions and varied dosage level
• Develop a quantitative property-performance correlation
• Document and write formal methods
