Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal or legal secretary, with a focus on labor and employment law
• Strong knowledge of federal and state court rules and procedures
• Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation, including case investigation, discovery, and trial preparation
• Conduct legal research on labor and employment issues using various resources, including Westlaw and LexisNexis
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests and responses
• Manage document production and review, including electronic discovery and document management systems
• Coordinate and calendar deadlines, hearings, and other important dates
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
• Prepare materials for client meetings, depositions, and hearings
• Assist in the preparation of trial exhibits and presentations
• Stay current with changes in labor and employment law and provide updates to attorneys as needed
