Summary

Join DEPT® as a Lead Analyst and partner with Data Science & Analytics Managers and stakeholders to contribute to measurement, reporting, performance, insights, and optimization. This remote role, based within 50 miles of San Diego, CA, requires expertise in web and digital marketing analytics, statistical analysis (R/Python), SQL, and online measurement ecosystems. You will conduct experimental testing, integrate reporting across channels, and build measurement plans. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills and proficiency in various software tools. Requirements

  • 4+ years of relevant web and digital marketing and analytics experience
  • Experience with R and/or Python for statistical analysis
  • Familiar with using SQL to manipulate datasets from various sources
  • Background in programmatic analytics
  • Excellent understanding of the online measurement ecosystem and media performance metrics
  • Strong ability and desire to think analytically with strong problem solving technical skills
  • Highly proficient in PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, and Tableau
  • Experience accessing data from ad serving tools (DFA/DCM, etc...), Paid Search Platforms (AdWords, Bing, etc...), Web analytics tools (Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics)
  • AI application roles in data science

Responsibilities

  • Discuss test setup and implementation with key stakeholders and determine data requirements
  • Extract and manipulate data to analyze and monitor test progress
  • Measure test performance and develop a cohesive narrative with clear, easily understandable conclusions and actionable recommendations in a concise and organized manner
  • Integrate reporting across channels for large programs; and lead internal measurement discussions and develop relevant QA practices
  • Support and provide input on design, execution, and interpretation of test results
  • Identify needs for analysis and guide team members on techniques and interpretation
  • Work closely with the DS&A Managers and internal teams to assess the campaign’s technical measurement and data requirements (e.g., analytics coding)
  • Build measurement plans against learning and business objectives, with minimal direction
  • Use data from attribution solutions to illustrate interactions, roles and conversion contributions between marketing channels

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fundamental understanding of media/site tagging and data collection for various media platforms
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks to completion within established deadlines
  • Requires excellent organizational, written, and communication skills
