Lead Backend Developer

Requirements

• Have advanced English
• Have experience with Node.js, Typescript, AWS Lambda, SQS, SNS (console for configurations), Database, and DynamoDB
• Have experience with tools such as Kiban, Grafana, Dynatrace, Git, Jenkins
• Have led software development teams using Agile, Lean and/or Continuous
• Have knowledge of delivery approaches such as TDD, continuous integration, pairing and infrastructure automation

Responsibilities

• Champion and adopt best practices like writing clean and reusable code using TDD, pair programming and design patterns
• Oversee or take part in the entire cycle of software consulting and delivery from ideation to evolution in production and everything in between
• Use and advocate for continuous delivery practices to deliver high-quality software as well as value to end customers as early as possible
• Design solutions and choose technologies that solve clients’ problems while working within constraints and make pragmatic tradeoffs
• Collaborate with a variety of teammates to build features, design concepts and interactive prototypes and ensure best practices and UX specifications are embedded along the way
• Apply the latest technology thinking from our Technology Radar to solve client problems
• Apply a variety of languages and tools to your work and continue to code alongside Developers; you will not be post-technical in this role
• Efficiently utilize and champion DevSecOps tools and practices to build and deploy software, advocating devops culture and shifting security left in development
• Cultivate Thoughtworker growth and development by encouraging feedback and fostering an inclusive, supportive team culture

Preferred Qualifications

• Have knowledge of cloud technology such as AWS, Docker or Kubernetes
• Enjoy continuously learning and improving, whether through functional programming paradigms, event driven architecture, platform engineering or others
• Monitor the journey of the team's technical staff, especially considering constant feedback and promoting a culture of continuous learning
• Act and monitor the delivery of deliveries
• Act in direct communication with the client (mainly business people, Product Owner and client product focal points)
• Act in meetings and technical sessions for team agreements and integrations with the client
• Prioritize and take risks with new functionalities, assessing the impact of both architecture and integrations
• Keep an eye on the main communication channels for both the client and the team
