Requirements
- A track record as a technical leader in backend engineering, with experience driving key decisions and delivering impactful systems
- Deep expertise in billing systems, usage-based platforms, or streaming systems
- Hands-on experience building products for 10,000+ users or larger audiences
- Proficiency in developing systems for fine-grained access control, anti-abuse mechanisms, and real-time auditing
- Demonstrated ability to take products from concept to completion, including modernizing legacy systems
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work across teams to drive technical alignment and success
- A passion for solving complex technical challenges while maintaining a focus on quality and performance
Responsibilities
- Act as the technical authority for your team, setting the standard for system architecture, code quality, and best practices
- Design and implement critical backend components, including internal billing and usage tracking, distributed rate-limiting engines, and real-time audit logging
- Develop systems for authorization and verification, access control mechanisms, and anti-abuse tools, ensuring robust performance for 10,000+ users and beyond
- Lead the development of complete product features, from concept to deployment. Build the βplumbingβ for mission-critical systems with reliability and scalability in mind
- Upgrade and evolve existing systems to align with future growth, ensuring they are efficient, scalable, and secure
- Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders, aligning on priorities and fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence
