Lead Content Designer

Requirements

• Proven experience driving UX writing, IA, and content strategy decisions for SaaS products or applications
• A knack for transforming complex inputs into simple, intuitive outputs
• Strong leadership skills in managing projects and collaborating effectively as part of a team

• A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for innovation and addressing challenges

Responsibilities

• Write clear, user-friendly product copy that simplifies complex ideas and flows
• Identify information architecture (IA) issues and recommend improvements
• Act as a catalyst for vision work across Upwork’s core product experiences, embedding with key initiatives and influencing others
• Support teams in launching new features, ensuring seamless integration into existing product flows, including AI-powered capabilities
• Contribute insights to inform product strategy, aligning short-term and long-term business goals
• Design scalable content and champion continuous improvement of content standards through a design system
• Collaborate with and support teammates in iterating and improving content quality
• Apply UX research and data to inform content decisions
• Manage content backlogs, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
• Present work for feedback and revise based on input
