Lead Data Scientist, Remote - Spain

Summary

This job is for an Advanced Analytics Project Manager who will lead projects using CRISP-DM methodology, collaborate with business stakeholders, mentor junior team members, guide MLOps strategy, contribute to Data Science team culture, innovate, and work closely with data engineering and analysis teams. The ideal candidate has a degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering or similar, at least 5 years of experience as a Data Scientist or Machine Learning Engineer, proficiency in Machine Learning, SQL, Python, Pyspark, GCP/AWS, BBDD relational databases, MLOps, and Git. The role is remote-friendly.

Requirements

• Diplomatura, Licenciatura o Grado en Estadística, Matemáticas, Física, Informática, Ingeniería o similar
• Experiencia de al menos 5 años trabajando como Data Scientist y/o Machine Learning Engineer
• Profundo conocimiento en Machine Learning (Aprendizaje supervisado, aprendizaje no supervisado, series temporales, NLP, etc)
• Conocimientos MLOps
• Experiencia en entornos cloud, fundamentalmente en Google Cloud Platform (GCP) y/o AWS, aunque valorable Azure
• Dominio de BBDD relacionales y SQL, por ejemplo, Redshift o Big Query
• Experiencia en control de versiones de código con Git

Responsibilities

• End-to-end project execution using CRISP-DM methodology
• Collaboration with business stakeholders to create data solutions that add value to the company and impact important KPIs
• Leadership and mentoring of junior team members within the Data Science team
• Guiding and collaborating on the MLOps strategy of the company
• Contributing to the culture and methodology of the Data Science team
• Ideating and innovating, proposing new projects or work methods

Preferred Qualifications

• Interés y proactividad para ser referente en Inteligencia Artificial Generativa con conocimiento en LLMs
• Deseable de haber estado por lo menos 1 año en un rol similar al de Lead/Senior Data Scientist
