Senior Data Scientist

Summary

The job is for a Data Scientist at Trendyol Tech, an e-commerce company with international presence. The role involves improving personalization and shopper experience on the TrendyolMilla App using machine learning techniques.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree preferably in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics or a related quantitative field
• 3-8 years of proven experience in a variety of machine learning modeling techniques (Classification, regression, learning to rank algorithms, clustering, gradient boosting, deep learning etc.)
• Proficiency in Python and SQL is required. ML pipeline design experience is essential
• Proven experience in data mining and statistical analysis
• Effective communication skills with a capability of explaining complex data concepts clearly
• Exhibit a strong sense of urgency and drive tasks to completion to meet the dynamic needs of our fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Responsibilities

• Enhance business value by leveraging data science techniques to improve personalization and shopper experience on the TrendyolMilla App
• Build, implement and iteratively improve ML models to solve complex business problems
• Develop recommendation systems, improve user experience by building an exclusive content ecosystem and create an industry leading personalization domain
• Apply best practices for working with ML-Ops infrastructure, improve models and infrastructure to optimize recommendation performance
• Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions
• Translate business needs into data world, come up with value-adding outputs and communicate the results to cross teams effectively
