Lead DevOps Developer

Summary

Join Encora as a Lead DevOps and be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable and efficient applications. Lead technical projects, mentor junior engineers, and continuously improve software development practices. Manage and optimize cloud infrastructures, primarily on AWS. Implement and automate CI/CD pipelines, promoting DevSecOps. Lead the design and execution of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) strategies using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. This remote position is available in Peru, Colombia, Costa Rica, and Bolivia.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
• Extensive experience in software development with a focus on designing and building scalable applications
• Professional/ Advanced English skills
• 10+ years of experience in DevOps or related roles, with a strong focus on managing cloud infrastructures, preferably in AWS
• Deep expertise in AWS services such as EC2, EKS, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, Glue, and others, with a solid understanding of cloud architecture principles
• Experience in integrating security into DevOps practices (DevSecOps), including designing and implementing security policies at the infrastructure and development levels

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructures, with a primary focus on AWS (EC2, EKS, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, etc.), ensuring high availability, scalability, and security
• Implement and automate CI/CD pipelines, promoting DevSecOps practices to integrate security throughout the development lifecycle
• Lead the design and execution of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) strategies using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation, ensuring consistency and scalability across all deployments
