Summary

The job is for an Electrician at National Power in Columbus, Ohio area with potential travel. The employee will perform lead electrical work on installation, alteration, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. They must have a minimum of 6 years in commercial experience, preferably in the telecommunications industry.

Requirements

• Travel up to 100% (up to 2 weeks)
• Lift at least 40 lbs
• Push or pull cables up to 60 lbs
• Climb ladders up to 8 ft
• Work/stand on ladders for long periods of time
• Stand continuously
• Frequently reach above, below, or at shoulder level
• Frequently bend, twist, or stoop
• Frequently crouch or squat
• Be exposed to a central office/cable office environment with moderate noise levels and nominal variations in heat and cold

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and service electrical systems
• Source or fabricate replacement electrical components
• Knowledge of the NEC and Interpret blueprints and carry out work accordingly
• Guide and oversee other electricians as necessary
• Obtain required equipment, tools, and materials for projects
• Test and troubleshoot electrical systems
• Provide assistance during emergencies
• Update project records and prepare relevant documents and reports
