Lead Engineer, Data Platform

Summary

Join our team as a Lead Engineer in the Data Platform team, responsible for building the underlying platform and shared tools to empower data engineers and data scientists.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building data platforms in high volume/scaling environments across distributed teams
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform and/or Amazon Web Services
• Expertise in Python, SQL
• Big query or equivalent data warehouse experience (redshift, snowflake, etc)
• Airflow or equivalent in house data platform experience (prefect, dagster, etc)
• Experience with Clickhouse
• Demonstrated experience perpetuating an inclusive and collaborative working environment

Responsibilities

• Build the underlying platform and shared tools to empower data engineers and data scientists
• Mentor earlier-career engineers
• Collaborate with product and design leads as needed
• Participate in interviewing/scaling of the all-up engineering organization

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Golang, Typescript
• Experience working in advertising technology, marketing, climate tech industries
• Experience working at globally distributed remote startups
