Summary

Join Fever, a leading tech platform for culture and live entertainment, and help build a horizontal data platform team. You will own critical platform components, design tools to unlock diverse data sources, and collaborate with stakeholders. In this role, you will build and maintain a scalable, reliable data platform, implement data governance policies, and develop observability systems. You will also build and automate infrastructure, apply IaC practices, and promote best practices for data engineering. The ideal candidate is an expert in Python and various data technologies, with experience in data management and cloud infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Expert in Python and frameworks like FastAPI or Django
  • Experience with Snowflake, PostgreSQL, and data management best practices
  • Familiar with IaC (Terraform), orchestration tools (Airflow, Metaflow), and CI/CD (Jenkins)
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Kafka, and GitOps tools like ArgoCD
  • Skilled in observability tools like Datadog, Grafana, and Prometheus
  • Strong communicator and team player in international, cross-functional environments
  • Proactive, adaptable, and solution-oriented
  • Fluent in English for effective communication

Responsibilities

  • Help build a horizontal data platform team, setting standards for governance, observability, and scalability
  • Own critical components of the platform and data products that inform decision-making across the company
  • Design tools and processes to unlock the value of diverse data sources
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to build structured, scalable solutions to real business challenges
  • Complete onboarding and participate in team rituals (pair programming, retros, 1:1s)
  • Get familiar with Fever’s tech stack and data strategy
  • Attend one of Fever’s experiences to connect with our mission
  • Propose solutions to complex challenges, especially around platform scalability and observability
  • Take ownership of key platform components such as our Data Warehouse
  • Join internal hackdays and collaborate across teams
  • Identify platform and process gaps, driving continuous improvement
  • Mentor new team members and participate in team-building activities
  • Build and maintain a scalable, reliable data platform
  • Implement data governance policies to ensure data quality, consistency, and security
  • Develop observability systems for platform monitoring and reliability
  • Build and automate infrastructure: data warehouses, lakes, pipelines, and real-time systems
  • Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform
  • Promote best practices for data engineering and platform operations
  • Build internal tools that simplify data-driven application development
  • Work with teams across the company to understand and meet data needs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with cross-functional roles (data analysts, scientists, product, marketing)
  • Knowledge of ClickHouse, Apache Flink, or event-driven architectures
  • Experience with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch
  • Use of BI tools like Metabase or Superset for reporting and visualization
