Summary
Join LaunchDarkly's Feature Management team as an experienced Full Stack Engineer to build and improve developer tooling. You will design and implement tools like MCP servers and browser toolbars, deeply understanding developer workflows to streamline their experiences. Lead a small team, define product requirements, and collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and engineers. Actively participate in architecture planning, code reviews, and mentoring. As part of a you-build-it-you-run-it culture, you may be responsible for production support, including on-call duties.
Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on experience building full stack web applications
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability for delivering impactful solutions
- Proven ability to work closely with Product and Design teams to define requirements for new features in a fast-paced iterative environment, and to be a self-starter when Product and Design arenβt available
- You write code that can be easily understood by others, with an eye towards maintainability
- You hold yourself and others to a high bar when working with production systems
- You value high code quality, automated testing, and other engineering best practices
- Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills; committed to continuous learning about emerging technologies and mobile best practices
- Experience utilizing AI tooling to enhance daily engineering efficiency
Responsibilities
- Design and implement developer-first tooling such as MCP servers and browser toolbars
- Deeply understand developer workflows so that you can streamline developer experiences
- Directly influence the developer roadmap and experiential details by representing the voice of the developer
- Lead a small team of engineers towards delivering impactful developer-focused initiatives, including defining product requirements on occasion
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, UX designers, and engineers to create cohesive, end-to-end developer experiences
- Participate actively in architecture planning, code reviews, and mentoring peers in full-stack best practices
- As part of our you-build-it-you-run-it culture, all developers may be responsible of support applications in production, including on-call
