Summary

Join Version 1 as a Lead Front-End Developer and collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain high-quality digital products. You will lead teams, manage stakeholders, and ensure code aligns with requirements and adheres to coding standards. Performance optimization and proactive suggestions for upgrades are key responsibilities. Mentorship of junior team members and contribution to shared component libraries are also expected. Requirements

  • You will have an extensive background in front-end development with significant experience working with ReactJS and Javascript (ES6+)
  • Experience with Unit Testing with Jest
  • Experience with technical leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers, guiding them in architecture, code quality, and best practices to ensure high-performing and maintainable applications
  • Continuous Integration experience (Docker)
  • Extensive experience in an Agile environment
  • Exceptional communication skills to interact with clients and onsite and near-shore development teams

Responsibilities

  • Experience leading teams and managing key stakeholders across the engineering team, including Architects, Product Owners and UX designers understanding and demonstrating how written requirements translate into a technical solution
  • Develop interfaces for web and mobile applications and develop high-quality, efficient, reusable code and libraries for future use
  • Collaborate with other team members to formulate and articulate end-to-end architecture and (non-) functional design
  • Responsible to take ownership of the Frontend digital and software platform
  • Ensure the use of Version 1’s’s Agile process and framework
  • Instil champion best practices within the team, including TDD, code reviews and pair programming
  • Mentor and bring on junior members of the team
  • Design flexible and configurable software components
  • Produce well designed, testable, maintainable, secure and efficient code

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with mobile development frameworks like React Native is beneficial
  • Experience with GraphQL with React for efficient data fetching and state management is preferred
  • Experience in developing and deploying solutions on AWS Cloud is beneficial. (AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect preferred)
  • A passion for coding and keeping up to date with new technologies frameworks and techniques
