Summary
Join Bellwood as a Lead Front-End React Engineer to architect and guide a large, multi-team React project. You will collaborate with engineers, establish coding standards, mature testing strategies, and provide optimization guidance. This role requires extensive React and Typescript experience, a strong understanding of modern front-end architecture, and proven technical leadership. The position offers remote work, open PTO, subsidized insurance, disability coverage, profit sharing, company retreats, and opportunities for professional growth within a dynamic team. Annual mandatory travel to company events is required, with expenses covered by the company.
Requirements
- Extensive React engineering experience with a deep understanding of the framework
- Extensive Typescript engineering experience
- Ability to establish and iterate coding standards for a team
- Working knowledge of modern Front-End architecture, particularly involving Micro Frontends and Microservices
- Strong understanding of modern Front-End testing
- 3+ years of front-end software engineering experience with strong awareness of Full Stack architecture
- Experience building and scaling large-scale, mission-critical Software Products
Responsibilities
- Curate the development of the project’s Front-End architecture, component library, and other tooling used by engineers across the project
- Establish and maintain coding standards to assist other engineers in achieving common tasks while sustaining a high bar for code quality
- Mature the project’s existing Front-End testing strategies to strengthen the reliability of the application
- Provide guidance on optimization strategies to build a fast and scalable application
- Mature the project's existing CI/CD pipeline
- Educate and collaborate with other engineers on modern software development best practices
- Build reusable components and hooks to expedite feature delivery
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing and maintaining NPM packages
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of AG Grid or a similar table library
- Experience optimizing Front-End applications to minimize JavaScript bundle size
- A voracious appetite to learn and apply new skills. You should be skilled at building web-based software or mobile apps, and excel at learning new languages and frameworks
