Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • At least 8+ years of software development experience working as a fullstack developer (but we have roles open for more experienced developers as well!)
  • Core programming proficiency in Go, Python, Java, or NodeJS
  • Experience developing backend web services
  • JavaScript knowledge and experience working with React
  • Knowledge of Cookies, LocalStorage and browser features to manage auth credentials
  • Experience integrating with identity management/brokering systems (Okta, Auth0, Keycloak, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Join a team of talented engineers to lead the building, improvement & maintenance of authentication and authorization systems for our full set of product users
  • Collaborate with other teams and products on authentication and authorization needs
  • Continuously improve our platform in terms of resiliency, performance, and scalability
  • Create user interfaces & libraries to handle user authentication flows
  • Collaborate to take our development to the next level: bring new ideas, frameworks, technologies and best practices
  • Stay up to date with the latest web technologies and share your knowledge as appropriate
  • Look after security aspects of our authentication and authorization systems
  • Be a part of the on-call rotation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with service-oriented architecture (SOA) and/or REST/RPC APIs
  • Experience with Typescript (we use React with Hooks, but we'll teach you if you haven't used it)
  • Experience and/or background in Application Security Engineering
  • Experience working with Auth0
