Lead Instructor

Summary

Join Correlation One as a Lead Instructor and deliver high-quality, live, virtual instruction in operations leadership. You will conduct large synchronous online lectures, prepare and lead virtual classroom sessions, and collaborate with operations personnel. The program runs from July 28th to November 12th, with lectures on Mondays and Wednesdays. You will engage learners in breakout room sessions and manage class Q&A. Success requires professionalism, diligent lecture preparation, responsiveness to learners, and effective communication. This remote role requires 4+ years of experience in leadership and development, experience teaching leadership skills, and strong communication skills.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in leadership and development or operations leadership type role
• Experience teaching content focused on leadership skills, conflict resolution, collaboration, people management, and time management
• Comfortable to be able to leave live breakout sessions and provide instant feedback
• Strong command of the English language, both oral and written
• Data-driven mindset and results-oriented
• Comfortable and excited to work in a dynamic start-up environment with a lean team
• Passionate about improving processes, self improvement and research
• Comfortable working remotely, independently, and self-motivated to succeed

Responsibilities

• Prepare and lead virtual classroom sessions for a range of Learners, with a target learner audience of 75 total
• Deliver instruction on key concepts related to Operations Leadership areas, tailoring content to match skills and interests
• Engage in breakout rooms sessions during the second half of the program lectures, which are led by teaching assistants
• Oversee the management of class time Q&A and monitor chat flow, and overall class energy and engagement dynamics
• Collaborate closely with Correlation One operations personnel to ensure smooth program delivery and adherence to schedules
• Assist in lesson design, development, and improvement which may include tracking edits, suggestions, or changes to curriculum as needed
• Interact professionally with Learners, Correlation One staff, additional contractors, and guest speakers, maintaining a high level of courtesy and respect
• Diligently and adequately prepare for lectures to ensure the delivery of high-quality content
• Be highly responsive and empathetic to Learners, providing thoughtful answers and assistance throughout the lesson
• Adjust the lesson pace and presentation to meet the needs of diverse Learners while also maintaining responsibility for timely delivery of the prepared content
• Exhibit an energy, pacing, and ability to make complex topics accessible and maintain strong learner engagement
• Communicate respectfully, recognizing that online or written communication may lack tone
• Maintain extra communicative contact with Correlation One personnel
• Foster a healthy learning environment by maintaining a positive attitude and promoting a culture of learning
• Contribute to course improvement by providing thoughtful and transparent feedback to the Correlation One team

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in roles similar to Amazon’s Process Assistant role, Team Lead roles, Shift Supervisor positions, and other workplace leadership roles will be helpful when being considered for this role
• Supervision roles that have developed your skills around positively leading a team effectively and proficiency in administrative tasks
