Lead Instructor, Full Stack

Join Codecademy's growing team in India as a Lead Instructor for our expanding bootcamp offerings! This hybrid role blends individual teaching with managerial responsibilities. You'll conduct live online classes, develop curriculum, recruit and manage instructors, and collaborate with leadership on strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate possesses extensive full-stack development experience and a passion for teaching. This is a high-visibility role directly impacting Codecademy's growth in India and globally. You will work directly with the India and global leadership team on this high visibility initiative.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 8 years of real world experience in technology companies, leading impactful projects and workstreams
• Proficiency in full-stack technologies including, but not limited to: Front-end: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (React, Angular, Vue.js) Back-end: Node.js, Express.js, Django, Flask, Ruby on Rails Databases: SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL), NoSQL (MongoDB, Firebase) DevOps: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform Data Structures & Algorithms (DSA)
• Strong drive to work in unstructured and fast-paced environments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Evidence of ‘steep slope’ learning ability and ownership mindset

Responsibilities

• Conduct live online classes for a diverse group of learners, ensuring high-quality instruction and engagement
• Develop and refine course materials, lesson plans, and projects, leveraging our extensive Codecademy library as a valuable resource
• Foster an interactive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging student participation and engagement
• Evaluate student performance through assignments and projects, providing constructive feedback to facilitate learning
• Assist students with technical challenges and address their queries both during and outside of class
• Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and management of instructors to ensure a high-quality teaching team
• Collaborate with leadership to shape and execute strategic initiatives for bootcamp growth and improvement

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degrees are a plus
• Prior experience in B2C teaching or training roles is highly desirable
• Experience in blue chip tech companies
• AI and LLM related expertise
• Extensive B2C teaching experience
