Summary
Join our team as a Lead Market Simulation Coordinator and lead the planning, implementation, execution, and reporting of Market Simulation (MS), onboarding activities, Parallel Operations, and external testing activities. This role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent education, training or experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer or Electrical Engineering
- Equivalent years of education and training, plus six (6) or more years related experience
- Project Management Certification (desired)
- Experience in bid-to-bill market systems in ISO, hands-on experience in software testing applying various testing methods, experience with test management and automation tools
- Proven success in application of software development principles, and relational database knowledge
Responsibilities
- Leads the planning, coordination, buildout and support of the Market Simulation, Parallel Operations and external testing efforts
- Builds and maintains a strong technical working knowledge of ISO systems, integration, and security architecture
- Verifies the Market Simulation plans and scenarios and Parallel Operations plans and scenarios are properly documented and executed
- Reports to management on progress, issues or concerns discovered during external testing
- Maintains alignment with CAISO processes
- Partners with Business Owners, Application Business Solution Managers (BSMs) and the PMO Business Analysts to identify and capture external impacts and validation requirements
- Supports onboarding activities, including connectivity testing, day-in-the-life efforts, scenario execution, Market Simulation, and Parallel Operations for WEIM entities, RCs, EDAM participants, etc
- Gathers data on market simulation and external testing efforts, and reports out associated metrics
- Identifies and implements various process improvements for Market Simulation and Parallel Operations planning, execution and external software validation to gain organizational and cost efficiencies
