Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a software development role, demonstrating proficiency in various technologies
- Deep experience with Golang, Kubernetes, Argo CD, Docker, Cloud technologies, and related SaaS Product development
- Deep understanding and practical experience with Agile and Lean product development methodologies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, both verbal and written, with fluency in English
Responsibilities
- Bring a lead perspective to architecture of open source projects making recommendations and judgements about contributions, features bugs etc
- Contribute features, bug fixes, and security improvements to Argo CD, Argo Rollouts, and other Octopus open-source initiatives
- Work with the community to coordinate community contributions by doing pull request reviews, answering issues, and joining community meetings
- Work with the community of maintainers to build the Argo roadmap and communicate key initiatives and build consensus on approaches to solving challenges
- Act as a Developer Advocate by helping teach people how to get the most out of Argo CD and Argo Rollouts from a GitOps perspective. This includes: Contributing blog posts, Submitting and presenting talks at conferences, Contributing to GitOps training, Engage with community users as well as Octopus customers to provide guidance and assist support time
- Become and Argo maintainer by consistently providing community value
