Summary

The job is a freelance DevSecOps position offering a long-term contract with Braintrust. The role involves working on challenging problems, architecting and optimizing cloud-based hosting services, partnering with business units, and contributing to the strategic roadmap of technical development. The job requires 3-5 years of experience in DevSecOps tools, cloud platforms, operating systems, database platforms, monitoring and logging, networking, scripting, and has specific requirements for AWS/Azure, Windows Server, Linux Ubuntu, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Hadoop, Prometheus, CheckMK, Nagios, Grafana, Splunk, DataDog, VLans, Subnets, Load balancing, Network OSI, Network File Sharing Protocols, VPN Technologies, Python, Ruby, Bash, PowerShell, AWS CLI, Azure CLI/PowerShell. The job is available for professionals who have created an LLC/corp around their consulting practice but not for C2C candidates working with an agency.

Requirements

• DevSecOps tools: Docker, Rancher, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitOps, Azure DevOps, Chef, Terraform
• Cloud Platforms: AWS/Azure
• Operating Systems: Windows Server, Linux Ubuntu
• Database Platforms: Relational RDBMS (MSSQL, PostgreSQL, for ex) and NOSQL (MongoDB, Hadoop, for ex)
• Monitoring and logging: Prometheus, CheckMK, Nagios, Grafana, Splunk, DataDog
• Networking: Understanding of VLans, Subnets, Load balancing, Network OSI, Network File Sharing Protocols, VPN Technologies
• Scripting: Python, Ruby, Bash, PowerShell, AWS CLI, Azure CLI/PowerShell

• Architecting, building, and optimizing our cloud-based hosting services
• Partnering with OWG business units (Retail, Health & Life Sciences, etc.) to understand business and client needs and opportunities for hosting
• Advising and supporting teams building on our internal PaaS hosting solution, and potentially with our clients seeking digital transformation opportunities

What you’ll be working on. - Crafting technical solutions to challenging problems - Architecting, building, and optimizing our cloud-based hosting services, increasing our reliance on infrastructure-as-code and policy-as-code - Partnering with OWG business units (Retail, Health & Life Sciences, etc.) to understand business and client needs and opportunities for hosting - Advising and supporting teams building on our internal PaaS hosting solution, and potentially with our clients seeking digital transformation opportunities - Contributing to a strategic roadmap of technical development of our hosting offerings - Writing, testing, and delivering pieces of the strategic roadmap - Working with a team to manage and maintain our extensive cloud-based hosting environment - Automating and improving existing hosting environment to reduce manual workloads and/or increase security posture
